Dhampus Sarangkot Hiking is a 3 days hiking in the lower Annapurna region of Nepal. It is an easy trip, which is highly suitable for the family trips. This hiking begins from Phedi, after a drive from Pokhara and goes through the forest region. Dampus is a large Gurung settlement, which is located beautifully at the shadow of the Annapurna Himalayan chain. Gurung culture is awe-inspiring, who love the traditions and values inherited from their ancestors. Dampus village is what primarily known for. The hospitality and folk cultural performance are remarkable. The route through terraced hill side leads you to Sarangkot, which is the best paragliding spot in Nepal. Sarangkot is also the best view point of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Fishtail, Himchuli, Manaslu and other fabulous peaks. The terraced hillside Sarangkot has become a traveler’s choice throughout the year. You can enjoy the best paragliding, drive or hike down to Pokhara, the city of Lakes. Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,1350m.Welcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Drive to Pokhara 6 to 7 hrsAfter breakfast, we drive to Pokhara via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive. Travelers can view several scenes, hill landscape and terraced firm lands. Following the ridge of Trishuli, Marshyangdi and Seti River, we arrive at Pokhara. O/N at Hotel. (A, B)
  • Day 03Drive to Phedi and hike to Dhampus (1600m).After breakfast, we drive to Phedi for 30 min on our first day of hiking. Then we ascend the foothill to the Gurung village- Dhampus. It is a mix settlement with Brahmins and Chhetris. They are rich in customs and traditions. So, it is a well loved destination to hike in this region. The views of Annapurna Himalayan range entice hikers for their incredible memories. We enjoy on taking photographs and get information about the history of Gurung culture. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 04Hike to Sarangkot (1720m).We wake up early in the morning today to view the sunrise over the Himalayan range. After breakfast, we descend gradually through the terraced rice fields, crossing the Dhampus River. We have our lunch at Naudanda and take rest. Then we head towards Sarangkot with the views of surprising landscape. The Himalayan panoramas add more charm on the hiking to Sarangkot from Dhampus. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 05Descend to Pokhara.Today, we wake up in the early morning and hike to the view tower. From the tower visitors can have breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna, Fishtail and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. Then we return to the hotel, have breakfast and continue the hike all the way to Pokhara. It is a nice descends with green hill views, Lakes, streams and farm lands. Arrive at Pokhara and rest.   • Day 06Drive to Kathmandu After breakfast, we drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive. Are any permits required for trekking?

Generally, trekking goes through the National Parks or through the conservation areas. They require permits. We manage permits for you and you should not keep on thinking about it.
