About Trip

Manaslu Circuit Trek began in 1991, which is a hot deal in the present scenario. This adventurous trek leads you through the undisturbed indigenous villages of the Tibetan Buddhists and the lush woods of the Manaslu Conservation Area Project (MCAP). The Himalayan panoramas of Mt. Manaslu and its surrounding vistas increase the proximity of astounding trip. It connects the Manaslu region with the Annapurna region via Larke Pass.

Carrying the restricted area permit, Manaslu trek begins from the Budi Gandaki River valley, making rapid ascending and descending. The trail is quite challenging as you have to walk through the rocky boulder. Beside this, the trek goes through the dense woods. The narrow gorge and canyon add more diversity. You need to be acclimatized to deal the alpine altitude. The Tibetan Buddhist influenced villages are prevailed throughout the trail. Monasteries and chhortens can be explored during the trekking in Manaslu. Namrung, Sama Gaon and Samdo are some wonderful villages on the trail. The alpine region of Manaslu is the pocket zone of snow leopard. Crossing the Larke Pass is technical enough that offers the stunning views of Mt. Manaslu, Annapurna peaks and the vicinity mountains. En route, you explore the Marshyangdi River valley and end the trek.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,1350m.Welcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing. After breakfast, we set out for tour guide to sightseeing tour in Kathmandu city Pashupatinath temple is the pilgrimage destination of Hindu devotees, lies on the bank of Bagmati River. It is a temple of Lord Shiva. Shiva Linga and It has got a place for cremation, where the dead bodies are burnt down. A great fair held here in Mahashivaratri. Boudhanath Stupa is a Buddhist pilgrimage site and the great Stupa in the Asia, built in the 17th century. It is surrounded by the resident of Tibetan Buddhist communities. You can feel the real sense of Buddhism around here. Swoyambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey temple, lies on the top of the hill. The golden temple on the hill top is followed by 365 steps which is significant in Buddhism. It is a good viewpoint of the Kathmandu valley and visitors can have the spectacular sunset views from here. Then we drive back to the hotel and prepare our upcoming trekking to Manaslu trekking,O/N at Hotel, (B, A).
  • Day 03Drive to Sotikhola 710m, 8 - 9 hrs After breakfast early in the morning, we drive to Sotikhola. It is a long scenic drive with the beautiful green hill surrounding along the Trishuli River in the beginning and reach Dhading besi. Then we drive to the Soti Khola through the gravel road continually from the Aarughat. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 04Trek to Maccha Khola 900m, 5- 6hrs.The trail descends slowly until you climb again to mountain ridge to perfect. Pass the forest trail to arrive at Riden Gaon. The valley here cuts into another side of the river to enter Budhi Gandaki. At Lambesi, the trail follows down to the sandy river bed of Budhi Gandaki, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 05Trek to Jagat 1410m, 6 - 7 hrsIt is narrow trail makes sometimes ups and downs and ultimately crosses the Tharo Khola and reaching Khorlabesi. After descends we come across a small Hot spring in Tatopani. From the hot spring, we climb over another ridge, then cross the Budhi Gandaki on a deferral bridge. We climb on a wide, well-crafted staircase, then across a landslide and over a ridge to Dobhan. Upon crossing a suspension bridge over the Yaru Khola, we climb the stone stairs and then drop to the river and again climb more stone stairs to Tharo Bharyang. Crossing the west bank of the Budhi Gandaki, trek along the river and then climb towards the village of Jagat, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 06Trek to Deng 1804m, 5 - 6hrs,After breakfast, it is part of the trek moves again uphill and then somewhere through a flat leveled path, we cross a suspension bridge over Budhi Gandaki before we enter Philim, It is a big village mainly occupied by the Gurung community, Small serene monasteries, chortens and prayer flags fluttering in the sky, along with graves and typical mountain shanty but sturdy houses will be seen around here about we trek over a flat leveled path mostly through forest of pine, rhododendron,, A few houses are also seen at Deng, from here, we can enjoy a pretty cascading waterfall lying at some distance, then we reach at deng.   • Day 07Trek to Namrung 2630m, 5 - 6 hrsDescending to the river we cross to the east bank before continuing north. We traverse a very dramatic section of the gorge as the river turns towards the west and we reach the Bhuddist village of Ghap (2040m). Crossing now to the south bank, we continue to Namrung (2630m) where there is a check post O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 08Trek to Samagaon ,3530m 6-7 hrs Today, we meet several Buddhist civilizations as Chhortens and Mani walls and continue to Lihi. On the way, we can see superb views of Mt. Ganesh and Himal Chuli. Heading further, we cross Lho, Shyala village and reach the Sama Gaon. On the way we have an opportunity to explore Ribung monastery. Himchuli and Peak 29 are dazzling on the background. We stay today at Samagaon. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 09Explore Pungyen Monastery: 6-7 hrs.Today, we do acclimatization by hiking to the Pungyen monastery. The way is full of Sherpa culture and civilizations. Chhortens, Mani walls and monasteries are situated around the way. sama village is an old Gompa (Pungyen Gompa), a monastery with great views of the glacier. It is named after Manaslu, Pungyen means armlet, a good description of the two peaks. It was destroyed a year after the first unsuccessful Japanese attempt to climb Manaslu. The locals believed that the climb angered the gods, and when the Japanese came back a year later they met with a lot of resistance that they had to give up their attempt. They were finally successful in Return to the Samagaon and rest. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 10Trek to Samdo (3860m): 4 - 5 hrs After breakfast, we descend to the Budhi Gandaki River and head to the Manaslu Base Camp. The trail has got several mani walls and wide way. The trail includes several mani walls and chhortens. Walking through the birch and juniper forest, we descend to the Kermo Khola, cross the Budhi Gandaki River and ultimately reach the Samdo village Tibetan border is just four kilometers away from Samdo, but visitors are not allowed to pass the border With Tibetan refugee village at Samdo.   • Day 11Trek to Dharamsala/Larkya B. C. (4460m): 4 - 5 hrs After breakfast, we trek to the Dharmasala following the Ridge of Budi Gandaki River. It is an interesting walk with the views of Larkey Glacier. we go around the valley of the Salka Khola and climb up again to the stone guest house (4450 m), which is not a lodge but a kind of shelter called Dharmshala, also known as Larke Phedi. The short walk today also leaves plenty of time for acclimatization and relaxing in the afternoon O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 12Cross Larkya la (5160m) - Bimthang (3720m): 8 - 9 hrs Today is our thrilling day, which crosses the Larkey La at 5160mtrs. After breakfast in the early morning, we climb up through the north of Glacier then a challenging ascends moraines of the glacier, making a gradual ascent which becomes steeper only in the last section of the pass. we reach the top of Larkey La. The exciting views of Manaslu, Lamjung, Himlung, Kangru and other snow covered Peaks come closer in front of the eyes. Then we descend to the Bimthang through the pasture land. O/N at Lodge.   • Day 13Trek to Tilije 2300m, 5 - 6 hrs After breakfast, we climb down to the Dudh Khola. The trail offers the views of Manaslu, Himlung and Lamjung Himal. Then we walk through the rhododendron forest and reach the fertile land beside the Karche. Gradually, the trail leads to the bank of the River. After crossing the Gho village, we trek further to Tilije. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 14Trek to Tal 1700m, 4 -5 hrs Today, we walk through the stone paved trail and beautiful surrounding. We have excellent views of Manaslu and Annapurna II as we descend through the villages of Kharche, Gho and Tilje to reach Dharapani (1963m), where we meet the Annapurna Circuit trail Further down, we come across Karte village and after quite a bit of walking we cross a bridge over Marshyangdi Khola. We also come across some mani walls before reaching the village of Tal,O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 15Trek to Syange (1080m): 5-6 hrs Today the trail runs gently downstream of the river passing the village of Chamje and Himal pani then Marsyandi valley opens with its terrace fields and villages clung very high to the hillsides. The trail then descends through rhododendron and pine forests to reach Syange O/N (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 16Tilije to Drive to Kathmandu: 8-9 hrs Chamje (1700m).Following the ridge of Marshyangdi and the Trishuli River, today we drive to Kathmandu. On the way we have beautiful views of lush forests, gorges, River bank settlement and green hill views. After a long drive we arrive in Kathmandu. Check- in hotel and rest. O/N at Hotel. (B, A) (We have next option to drive to Pokhara. It is a beautiful city of Lakes, lie on the bosom of Mt. Fishtail. After 2 days trip we can move to Kathmandu)
  • Day 17Departure to International Airport This day, it’s your final day of the trip in Nepal. On your airport time, our company representative bid farewell and wish for safe journey. (B)
