Ghorepani Poon Trekking offers one of the best views of Annapurna and Dhaulagri Mountain range. The highest point of Annapurna Ghorepani Poon Hill trek called  Poon Hill (3210m) from where you will able to see a spectacular sunrise view over the Himalayas. Annapurna Sunrise Trek begins through a unique Rhododendron terrain and typical valley and it ends at NayaPul. En-route there is a great chance to see wildlife and scenery such as white capped river chat, brown dipper, white-breasted kingfisher, butterflies, Musk Deer, orchids, and rhododendron and Magnolia forests. Poon Hill offers one of the best panoramic views of the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Mountain Range.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,1350m.Welcome to the Kathmandu! Our representative will greet you at the international airport and provide transfer to your hotel. With the exception of our welcome dinner, the first evening is free to explore as you like or rest and relax at the hotel. overnight at Hotel (A)
  • Day 02Sightseeing Kathmandu Valley.Tour Schedule: After a hearty breakfast, we take you on a tour of the attractions of Kathmandu Valley, including three World Heritage Sites. We first visit Swayambunath Stupa, also known as The Monkey Temple, said to be more than 2000 years old. It lies on top of a small hill overlooking the Valley. The tour also includes the Buddhist pilgrimage destination of Boudhanath Stupa, crowded with devotees, and the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupatinath. Pashupatinath is on the banks of the Bagmati River and is a cremation ground as well as an important center of activity during festivals. after back to hotel and prepare for a upcoming trek and tour .overnight at Hotel (B,A)
  • Day 03Kathmandu – Trisuli River Rafting – Pokhara City .After morning breakfast it takes approx 2 hours drive to reach rafting starting point Charaudi- 82 Km from Kathmandu. The rafting put-in-point then we will meet our raft crew. The leader of the raft will give a short briefing on safety procedure. The whole day we encounter several big and small rapids. Lunch will be served on the beach of the river just before going through the Upset rapids. Shortly after lunch we will encounter Upset 1 &2 and another rapid known as "surprise". It is indeed, for the current accelerates and the rapids increase in size and frequency. End point Fishling or Kuringhat and drive to pokhara in vehicle. overnight at Hotel (B,L,A)
  • Day 04Drive to Nayapul (1,010m) - 1 hr. Trek to Tikhedunga (1,570m) - 3 hrs.We begin our trek at Nayapul after a 1-hour drive on a private vehicle from Pokhara. After a short 15-minute walk along the banks of the Modi Khola, we reach Birethanti (1,010m) a large village with many shops and teahouses. From there, the trail continues through the village and follows the north bank of the Bhurungdi Khola. The trail climbs steadily up the side of the valley to Hille at 1,495m and after a short climb, we reach Tikhedhunga at 1,570m. Today’s walk is relatively short and easy, a prelude to the trekking experience in the Annapurna region. overnight at Lodge (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 05Tikhedunga - Ghorepani 2,840m, 5 hrs walkingWe move on towards the steep climb to Ulleri, a large Magar village at an altitude of 2,070m. The trail ascends more gently from this point, through fine forests of oak and rhododendrons towards Banthanti at 2,250m. Then we trek towards Nangethanti at 2,460m. After an hour walk we arrive, at Ghorepani (2,840m). overnight at Lodge (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 06Gorepani -poonhill -Tadapani 2,610m, 6 hrs walkingToday, very early in the morning, we start an hour hiking to Poon Hill at an elevation of 3,210m, a brilliant mountain range spectacle; this vantage point provides an unobstructed view of the sunrise over the high Himalayas. There we spend about 1 hour, then returning to Ghorepani we take a hot breakfast at a hotel. Then we make a climb along ridges and through pine and rhododendron forests to Deurali (2,960m). After that we descend to the Banthanti, then turning off to Tadapani. overnight at Lodge (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 07Tadapani -Ghandruk 1,940m, 4 hrs walkingFrom Tadapani the trail descends through forests to Ghandruk, a village of Gurung people, one of the ethnic groups of Nepal. They have their own dialect, culture, costume, and life style. Ghandruk is also home to many Gurkha soldiers. It is a famous destination for trekkers as it is known for its beautiful mountain views and also because it's within easy reaches from Pokhara and Kathmandu. We have the afternoon to visit the Annapurna Conservation Office, museums and explore the village.overnight at Lodge (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 08Gahandurk - Nayapul 1,010m-Pokhara Today, we are going to end our trek at Nayapul followed modi khola .after an 1 hour drive back to Pokhara. overnight at Hotel (B,L,A)
  • Day 09Sightseeing around Pokhara Valley.Tour Schedule: After a hearty breakfast, we take you on a tour of the attractions of Pokhara Valley, (Davi’s fall, Gupteswor Guffa (Cave), Tibetan Refugee Camp, the old Bazaar and Bindyabasini Temple, World Peace pagoda, Deep Gorges seti River, Mountain Museum).overnight at Hotel (B,A)
  • Day 10Drive Pokhara to ChitwanToday you will leave Pokhara for Chitwan and lodge in a jungle resort. A welcome drink will be offered on your arrival. Then enjoy a palatable meal around noon and take a good rest to get ready for the upcoming jungle adventure.overnight at Hotel (B,L,D,A)
  • Day 11Full day wildlife activities in ChitwanEstablished in 1962, Chitwan National Park is the first national park and the largest safari park of Nepal. It used to be a royal garden and opened to the public aiming to protect the endangered one-horned rhinoceroses originally. In 1984, the park was included in the List of World Heritage as natural heritage by UNESCO. There are several interesting recreational activities including elephant riding, canoe drifting and jungle safari, which will offer you an opportunity to spot the rare Bengal tigers, wild elephant, rhinoceros, crocodiles and other wildlife. The local guide or mahout will give you some information during journey and help you to locate the animals in the park. Next you will come to the Elephant Breeding Center to see the baby elephants. After a short break at the lodge, you will round up your jungle expedition with a visit to the Tharu village where you may enjoy a local dance performance called “Tharu Tribal Dance”.overnight at Hotel (B,L,D,A
  • Day 12Drive Chitwan to KathmanduWake up early and get a fresh morning with a cup of tea. We will drive 5 hours to transfer back to Kathmandu and check in the hotel. The rest of the day is free for your own arrangement.overnight at Hotel (B,A)
  • Day 13Departure from KathmanduA comfortable private transfer to the airport is provided for you today. Our guide will see you off and help you to board your onward flight.(B)
