Checklist for Bhutan Tour

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Paro Airport after the drive to Thimpu (1hour 30 minutes’ drive). 2320 M.You will arrive at the town of Paro. The representative from Index adventure will welcome you on arrival at Paro Airport. From Paro, you will drive towards Thimpu where your Short Bhutan Tour starts. You will travel to Kuenselcholing View Point which provides a beautiful view of the entire valley of Thimpu. Also, you will visit Kuensel Phodrang which is considered to be one of the largest statues of Buddha in the world. Other historical landmarks that you will visit include Memorial Chorten and Tashichho Dzong. Memorial Chorten was constructed in 1974 as a memorial for the third King of the country, King Jigme Dorji Wangchuk, also known as the father of modern Bhutan. Overnight in Thimpu (L/D/A)
  • Day 02Drive to Paro.From Thimpu, you will drive back towards Paro where you will spend the day exploring the town. You will visit one of the most famous sites of Bhutan is the Taktsang Monastery which lies at an altitude of 2640m. It is trusted that in the eighth century, the great tantric Guru Rimpoche/Padmasambhava (second Buddha) flew on the back of a tigress to the site where the religious community now stands. Also, you will visit a local farmhouse which will give you the ambiance of the countryside of Bhutan. Overnight in Paro. (B/L/D/A)
  • Day 03Departure After breakfast, transfer to the airport in time for your departure flight to onward destination. (B)
