Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,1350mWelcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Kathmandu Valley Sightseeing. After breakfast, we set out for tour guide to sightseeing tour in Kathmandu city Pashupatinath temple is the pilgrimage destination of Hindu devotees, lies on the bank of Bagmati River. It is a temple of Lord Shiva. Shiva Linga and It has got a place for cremation, where the dead bodies are burnt down. A great fair held here in Mahashivaratri. Boudhanath Stupa is a Buddhist pilgrimage site and the great Stupa in the Asia, built in the 17th century. It is surrounded by the resident of Tibetan Buddhist communities. You can feel the real sense of Buddhism around here. Swoyambhunath Stupa is also known as the Monkey temple, lies on the top of the hill. The golden temple on the hill top is followed by 365 steps which is significant in Buddhism. It is a good viewpoint of the Kathmandu valley and visitors can have the spectacular sunset views from here. Then we drive back to the hotel and prepare our upcoming trekking to upper Mustang,O/N at Hotel, (B, A).
  • Day 03Drive to Pokhara, 6 to 7 hours by drive. After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive. Travelers can view several scenes, hill landscape and terraced firm lands. Following the ridge of Trishuli, Marshyangdi and Seti River, we arrive at Pokhara. O/N at Hotel. (A, B)
  • Day 04Fly from pokhara to Jomsom & trek to Kagbeni (2,858m),3-4 hrs In the morning, , transfer to the airport fly to Jomsom. This place is the districts headquarter of Mustang district. This 20 minutes flight over the mountains offers us to view Himalayan landmasses including 8000m tall mountains too. Jomsom is a large town and is the old age strategic trade center to Tibet. After, we continue from the river bed of Kali Gandaki. On crossing Ekley-bhatti village, an easy trail route tracks us to Kagbeni. Kagbeni is the amusing windswept village which lies at the bank of two rivers. Kak Khola is the major tributory of the place coming from Muktinath and later it becomes Kaligandaki by mixing with Mustang Khola. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 05Trek to Chele 3,050m. 5-6 hrsToday also we trek along the river side of Kaligandaki. The gradual up and down sandy and windy trail offers to snatch charming natural sceneries. The first settlement that we see today is Tangbe village. Barley, wheat, apple and buckwheat are the main agricultural product of the village. On forward we trek to Chhusang, cross a river and then head towards Chele through a small ridge. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 06Trek to Syanbochen 3,475m 6-7 hrs.We climb to Taklam La Pass (3,624m/11,923 ft) through plateaus and narrow stretches with views of Tilicho Peak, Yakawa Kang and Damodar Danda.The climb continues along steep, treeless and dry terrain, along the side of a spectacular deep canyon to pass a cairn of rock. The trail then makes a long gradual descent to some chortens on a ridge, and descends further on a pleasant trail to Samar. The Annapurna Range, still dominated by Nilgiri, stands magnificent far to the south. We relax descend into a large gorge and go into another valley along the surrounding of cool streams and junipers trees, crossing a stream and climbs up to a ridge at 3800m. Further walk to reach at Syanbochen for the overnight stay. We also pass by a famous Ramchung Cave and explore surroundings ancient unique village area. . O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 07Trek to Ghaymi 3,520m, 5-6 hrsOur today’s journey starts with uphill to Yamda La (3,850m) on passing some Tibetan style villages with little teahouses. We cross some mountain passes inchuding Nyi pass (4,010m). Somewhere in and around the village, we can find fields of barley and some other trees also. We descend down and reach to Ghaymi village to stop today. Ghaymi is the third largest village in the Lo-region, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 08Trek to Charang, 3,500m, 4-5 hrsAfter having breakfast, our trek starts by crossing Ghaymi Khola. The Khola is followed by uphill to a plateau. Just a bit ahead, there is a very long Mani wall. Mani wall is the sacred stone of Buddhist which is written the auspicious slogans of Buddhism. On passing the walls, we can meet Charang village in the East. The village has maze fields, willow trees; stone built houses and some Gompas (monastery) also. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 09Trek to Lo-Mangthang 3,700m, 5-6 hrs.The trail descends about 125m from Charang, crosses the Tsarang Chu and follows the track to a cairn on a ridge opposite the village at 3580m, then enters the Tholung village. Then the trail further ascends gently to the 3,850m windy pass of Lo, from where you can see the Lo-Manthang Valley (3700m), views of the walled city appear magnificent with its hills on the Tibetan Border. A short descent leads onto the plain of Aspiration and then the trail crosses a stream and climbs up onto the plateau of Lo-Manthang, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 10Explore Lo-MangthangToday we explore around the Lo-Mangthang and is a acclimatization day also. We visit to Namgyal Gompa situated at the top of the hill. It is a famous monastery of the local area and also the local court. Next we go the northwest village of Lo-Mangthang called Tingkhar. In alternative, we may go Champa Lakhang “God house”, Thugchen Gompa, Chyaodi Gompa and the four storey local king’s palace. Local people’s lifestyle and their typical traditions make us to enter into the new world of human seniority. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 11Trek to Drakmar 3,810 m, 6-7 hrsInstead of following the trail south to Tsarang, turn southwest along an indistinct trail that passes the irrigated fields of the city. After Lo Gekar, the trail climbs steeply to a cairn on a pass at 4000m, offering a last glimpse of Lo Manthang. Cross the Chogo La (4325m), the highest point on this trek. The trail makes descend beside a stream visiting ancient Ghar Gompa more than 1200 years old and meet the Guru Rimponche. Gompa is famous for its rock paintings andthe legend of fulfilling our good wishes. Climb to a ridge, the route crosses some alpine meadows to a crest and then drops down a steep eroded gully overshadowed by red rock towers to Drakmar. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 12Trek Ghiling 3,806m, 5-6 hrs.This day again we follow on the gradual up down rough trail we trek for about 5-6 hours to reach to Ghiling. On reaching we explore around the village admiring local way of life. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 13Trek to Chhuksang 3,050m, 5-6 hrs.The path trekking back to Chhuksang is easy working down enjoying the Tibetan life style and culture. You will have wonderful scenery and the amazing views of Nilgiri, Tilicho and others tremendous Himalayan peaks. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 14Trek back to Jomsom 2,700m, 6-7 hrs.Today we walk down to the southern border of the Mustang region to Kagbeni. We gradually get down through old salt trade route; the stupa, monasteries and chortens (Buddhist shrine) are the main attractions of the day. After having a lunch at Kagbeni we will head to Jomsom following the Kali Gandaki River Bank with an easy and flat work. Continue the trail down on the stony path facing Tukuche, Dhaulagiri and Nilgiri. Explore the headquarter city, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 15Fly back to Pokhara.Today in the morning we fly back to Pokhara. This 30 minutes breathtaking flight flies between the gorge of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri Himal. From Pokhara airport transfer to the hotel and you can have leisure time for pokhara city With Better explore around lakes and city. O/N at Hotel (B, A).
  • Day 16Drive back to Kathmandu.After breakfast, we drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive.
