Our journey starts with an exciting morning flight from Kathmandu to Lukla(2860m). And our trek starts in Lukla when we trek to Phakding(2652m). We will reach Namche Bazaar (3440m) on our second day in the Everest region. After that, we will have a pleasant stay in Syangboche(3841m), Deboche(3820m), and Dingboche(4360m).

We will spare a day for acclimatization in Dingboche. After staying in Lobuche(4940m), we will finally reach the Everest base camp(5335m) on the tenth day of our journey. After a pleasant stay in Gorak Shep (5164m), we will reach the highest point in this trek Kalapatthar (5643m) the day after. Then we fly back to Kathmandu in a Heli.

Detail Itinerary of Everest Base Camp Luxury Lodge Trek

Now that we have known about this trek, let us discuss the itinerary in more detail.

Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu

Our airport representatives will welcome you and pick you up at the international airport. They will then transfer you to one of the most Luxurious hotels in Kathmandu. We will make sure you have a comfortable stay, and receive the best hospitality.

Day 02: Preparation Day and Kathmandu Sightseeing

We have a spare day today. You can utilize this day preparing for the days ahead. You can grab all the required accessories from Thamel.

Also, today is for sightseeing around Kathmandu. Boudhanath, Swayambhunath, Pashupatinath, and the three Durbar Squares are the main attractions around Kathmandu. You can stroll around the streets of Thamel and Basantapur in the evenings.

After having a delicious dinner of your choice, we stay at the hotel for the night.

Day 03: Fly from Kathmandu to Lukla (2860m) and Trek to Phakding (2652m)

Trek duration: 3 to 4 hours

Difficulty: Easy

Almost all flights to Lukla leave in the morning. The flight lasts for 35 minutes only. This exciting flight rewards us with beautiful views of the mountains and landscapes below. We will rest in Lukla for a while. We will refill our energy, and start our trekking.

Our first day of trekking includes a short hike to a village called Phakding. We will reach Phakding after about 4 hours of walking. We will check in to a Luxurious hotel in Phakding. You can find facilities including wifi and a hot shower in the hotel.

Day 04: Trek from Phakding to Namche Bazaar (3440m)

Trek duration: 5 to 6 hours

Difficulty: Easy to moderate

We can see beautiful terrains and forests during our trek to Namche Bazaar. There are a few ups and downs in the path. Namche Bazaar is the largest settlement in this trekking route. There are lots of activities to do in Namche Bazaar.

We will stay at a Luxurious hotel in Namche. In the evenings, you can relax at a coffee shop or at the hotel. Either way, you will have a pleasant time in Namche.

Day 05: Trek from Namche Bazaar to Syangboche (3841m)

Trek duration: 2 hours

Difficulty: Easy

We spare this day for proper acclimatization. Since we are doing this trek in style, we will complete a small hike from Namche to Syangboche and stay there tonight. We will get our first proper view of Everest from Syangboche.

Syangboche is a wonderful place to spend the night. The Everest view hotel is a magnificent place with proper facilities.

Day 06: Trek from Syangboche to Deboche (3820m)

Trek duration: 4 to 5 hours

Difficulty: Easy

We have a pleasant trek in hand for today. We will also visit the famous Thyangboche monastery (3867m). We will have fantastic views of the mountains throughout our trek.

Deboche is our last stop for today. We will transfer to a nice hotel in Deboche.

Day 07: Trek from Deboche to Dingboche (4360m)

Trek duration: 4 to 5 hours

Difficulty: Moderate

After a lovely breakfast, we will continue our journey. We walk a few miles and reach the Imja valley. A steep uphill climb comes before we reach Dingboche.

We will reach Dingboche after 4 to 5 hours of trekking. We will rest in a beautiful hotel for the night. The hotels in higher altitudes are pretty basic. Our hotel will have a hot bed and a cozy room.

Day 08: Dingboche Acclimatization Day

Trek duration: Depends on the activity

Difficulty: Easy

Proper acclimatization is very important at such altitudes. We will spend the day strolling around Dingboche with a magnificent mountain view. Ama Dablam looks fantastic from Dingboche, as well.

Also, you can take a short hike near Dingboche. Nagarjuna is a famous destination for a short hike from Dingboche.

Day 09: Trek from Dingboche to Lobuche (4940m)

Trek duration: 5 hours

Difficulty: Moderate

Our trip to Everest base camp continues as we head off towards Lobuche. Following the Khumbu Khola valley, we make our walk towards Dugla. We walk towards the end of Khumbu glacier and finally reach Lobuche.

Day 10: Trek from Lobuche to Everest Base Camp(5335m) and Back to Gorak Shep(5164m)

Trek duration: 7 to 8 hours

Difficulty: Moderate

Today is a big day for all of us. We start early today. We make our way towards Everest base camp. Upon reaching the base camp, you can treat yourself with beautiful views of mountains all around.

Top of the world looks beautiful, and the surround looks magical. We will stay in the base camp for a while, take enough photographs and descend back to Gorak Shep.

Upon reaching Gorak Shep, we will celebrate what we have achieved in the best accommodation in the area.

Day 11: Trek from Gorakshep to Kalapatthar (5643m) and Fly to Kathmandu

Trek duration: 3 to 4 hours

Difficulty: Moderate

We will visit Kalapatthar today. It is the highest point in this trek. The view from the top viewpoint of Kalapatthar is incredible. The 360-degree panoramic mountain view is outstanding. It is a heaven for photographers.

We follow the same route back to Gorak Shep. From there we take a helicopter back to Kathmandu. The flight rewards you with a magnificent aerial view of the Mahalangur range and other mountain ranges.

Once we reach Kathmandu, we take ourselves to the 5-star hotel. There you can spend quality time and celebrate your victory.

Day 12: Departure

Our Everest base camp luxury lodge trek ends today. With hope to see you again, our airport representatives will take you to the international airport.

Everest Base Camp Trek Difficulty

The Everest base camp trek is average when it comes to difficulty. It is not an easy trek as you have to gain a significant amount of altitude. There are lots of ups and downs and rocky trails. Weather in the Everest region is unpredictable. The temperature drops at night.

And one cannot deny the fact that there is always a possibility of altitude sickness. But, with proper guidance and assistance, you can complete this trek with ease. You need a proper day for acclimatization and will not have to worry about altitude.

Altitude Sickness in Luxury Everest Base Camp Trek

Altitude is always a possibility. Anyone can get it, and it does depend on age, sex, or fitness level. You can visit your doctor before the trek, to fully know about your body.

If you do get altitude sickness, you must let your guide know. And you should never overdo anything. You have to rest a lot at these high altitudes.

Make sure you pack medicines for altitude sickness, as well.

Best Time for Everest Base Camp Luxury Trek

Autumn and Spring seasons are the best time for Everest base camp trek. Autumn (September to November) has the best weather and surroundings. The sky looks sharp, and the mountains seem clearer.

This time of year is ideal for trekking. The day gets warmer but not too hot. You can trek in ease, and the nights get colder.

Similarly, Spring (March to May) is ideal as well. You will see green terrains and Rhododendrons are blooming all around.

There are very fewer chances of rain in both of these seasons.
