DHAMPUS SARANGKOT HIKING

Situated in the western part of Nepal, Dhampus Sarangkot hiking tour offers you the panoramic vistas of iconic mountains including Annapurna (8,091m), Dhaulagiri (8,167m), Manaslu (8,165mm) and Fishtail (6,673m) alongside the exploration of Gurung village and spectacular sceneries. This 7 days hike to Dhampus-Sarangkot initiates with the drive to the lively city, Pokhara from Kathmandu and then ride to Phedi where we will start our hike to Dhampus (1,600m). Dhampus is a small Gurung village which is ideally located in lower Annapurna region. As we continue our hike, we will reach out for Sarangkot (1,720m); perfect viewpoint to relish the breathtaking mountain views alongside enjoying scenic paragliding experience, and awe-inspiring views of Pokhara city. Our hike will end with descending to Pokhara city and drive back to Kathmandu. The highlights of this trip are the exploration of Pokhara city, the witness of Gurung culture and tradition, amusing landscapes, stunning views of mountain ranges and playful hiking trails.

Welcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A).

After breakfast, we drive to Pokhara via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive. Travelers can view several scenes, hill landscape, and terraced firm lands. Following the ridge of Trishuli, Marshyangdi and Seti River, we arrive at Pokhara. O/N at Hotel. (A, B).

After breakfast, we drive to Phedi for 30 min on our first day of hiking. Then we ascend the foothill to the Gurung village- Dhampus. It is a mixed settlement with Brahmins and Chhetris. They are rich in customs and traditions. So, it is a well-loved destination to hike in this region. The views of Annapurna Himalayan range entice hikers for their incredible memories. We wake up early in the morning today to view the sunrise over the Himalayan range. After breakfast, we descend gradually through the terraced rice fields, crossing the Dhampus River. We have our lunch at Naudanda and take rest. Then we head towards Sarangkot with the views of surprising landscape. The Himalayan panoramas add more charm on the hiking to Sarangkot from Dhampus. Today, we wake up in the early morning and hike to the view tower. From the tower, visitors can have breathtaking sunrise views over the Annapurna, Fishtail, and Dhaulagiri Himalayan range. Then we return to the hotel, have breakfast and continue the hike all the way to Pokhara. It is a nice descends with green hill views, Lakes, streams and farm lands. Arrive at Pokhara and rest.
