About Trip

For anyone desiring to see the magnificent parade of some of the tallest and beautiful Himalayas of the world from close without the inconvenience of altitude sickness, the Ghorepani-Poonhill-Ghandruk trek is the best fit. The trek satiates the appetite for trekking through picturesque village settlements, wondrous Rhododendron forests and emerald landscapes everywhere. It takes you through the trial that constitutes uphill and downhill treks and stony staircases tailored for those who want to avoid long and exhausting treks. The snow-capped Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, and another cavalcade of mountains are always on the scene either right in front of us or behind the hills given that the weather is approving.

Ghorepani is a village that houses a number of commercial lodges and tea houses as it is a hub linking prominent trials leading to different villages and a basic stop point for Poonhill visitors. Poonhill, 176 km from Ghorepani is the focal point of this trip which has a decent height of 3210 meters and still gives an astounding view of the plethora of the Himalayas such as Mt. Fishtail, Mt. Manaslu, Lamjung, the Annapurna ranges and the Dhaulagiri ranges. It is acclaimed to be the best viewpoint in the Annapurna Conservation Area able to attract hundreds of visitors on a daily basis. We also set foot to Ghandruk, a postcard-worthy village overlooking the mountain ranges. The ethnic Gurung tribes and their quaint settlements are soothing and wistful.

Index Adventure is a veteran in trekking through the nooks and corners of Nepal unveiling its raw and mystical beauty. We allow sufficient time for our travelers to indulge in the culture and local lifestyle and make space for communication with locals. We make every effort to ensure that our guests have a time of their lives in our companionship.

How much should I tip my guide and porter?

Tips are appreciated by your support team after the trip. The amount depends on your budget and appreciation of their work. Some trekkers give 10% of the total tour cost as tips. This is absolutely your choice, make the best of it. Only you can decide this.
