LANGTANG VALLEY TREK

Trek to alluring Langtang Valley encompasses you through tranquil trekking trails, lush green forest enriched with exotic flora and fauna, insight to unique Tibetan culture and medieval villages. The 10 days trek to Langtang valley initiates with the drive from Kathmandu to Sybrubensi. From here, we will trek towards Langtang village via Lama Hotel where you can relish the stunning vistas of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Shishapangma, and Kerung. After our visit to Langtang village, we will trek towards Tserko Ri (4,990m)via Kyanjin Gompa(3,870m); spiritual Buddhist Monastery. Tserko Ri is the highest point of our trek which bestows the spectacular vista of Langtang valley. And our trek ends with descending to Lama Hotel and then drive from Sybrubensi to Kathmandu. The highlights of the trek are the exploration of Kyanjin Gompa and Langtang village, peaceful trekking trails accompanied by lush green forest and the shimmering Himalayas alongside witness to glorious Tibetan culture.

  • Day 1: Arrival at Kathmandu (1,350m).

    The journey of the trek starts once the trekker arrives at Kathmandu. You can stroll around Thamel and local markets where you can find the handmade products and enjoy Nepali cuisine.

  • Day 2: Drive from Kathmandu to Syabru Besi (1,467m) – 7-8 Hours.

    Next day, you will be leaving from Kathmandu and traveling by road. You will be seated for 7-8 hours until you reach Syabru Besi. You can also enjoy the local cuisines and then take proper rest.

  • Day 3: Trek from Syabru Besi to Lama Hotel (2,470m) - 5 Hours.

    The trek from Syabru Besi begins following the Langtang River flowing to the east direction. You will have to cross over a bridge over the Langtang River then walk past the trail reaching to the Lama Hotel.

  • Day 4: Trek from Lama Hotel to Langtang Village (3,430m) - 6 Hours.

    On the following day, you will be trekking for 6 hours to reach Langtang Village. The view of Langtang Lirung, Ganesh Himal, Shisapangma, and Kerung is clearly visible during the trek to Lama Hotel. You also come across several stone houses. You also come across places named Ghoda Tabela, Mundu, and the Buddhist monastery before reaching the Langtang Village.

  • Day 5: Trek from Langtang Village to Kyangin Gompa (3,870m) - 3 Hours.

    Buddhist monastery Kyangin Gompa is the highlight of the Langtang Valley Trek. We pass through yak pastures. The last tea houses are found here at Kyangin Gompa. You can also taste the mouthwatering local cheese made at the cheese factory near the Gompa.

  • Day 6: Trek to Tserko Ri (4,990m) back To Kyangin Gompa.

    On the 6th day, we will hike to Tserko Ri early in the morning, remains at an altitude of 4,990 meters, the topmost place to view the whole Langtang Valley. Tserko Ri provides the 360-degree view of the Langtang valley and Himalayas. The major mountains are Langtang Himal, Dorje Himal, Kamja la Himal, Langtang Lirung (7,234m), Kimoyoshung (6,780m), Dragpoche (6,582m), Shalbachum (6,707m), Pemthang Karpo RI (6,830m), Langshisa Ri (6,413m) and Dorje Lakpa (6,966m). We will then have to trek back to Kyangin Gompa the same day. The overall journey will take place in 8 hours.

  • Day 7: Trek from Kyangin Gompa to Lama Hotel - 2,490m - 6 Hours.

    After the visit to the Buddhist monastery Kyangin Gompa, the downhill trek Lama Hotel begins.

  • Day 8: Trek down to Syabru Besi - 2,000 m.

    After walking downhill for a whole day, you finally reach Syabru Besi. You are exhausted but exhilarated on the same level.

  • Day 9: Drive back to Kathmandu by Jeep/Local Bus.

    On the next day, you travel back to Kathmandu, the place from where your trekking journey started. Once you reach Kathmandu, you can always opt for a night out or rest.

  • Day 10: Departure to International Airport.

    The Langtang Valley Trek comes to an end after you comfortably reach the International Airport for catching your flight to get back to your home.
