Mardi Himal Trekking is an exciting trekking in the Annapurna region, which is highly suitable for the photography. This leads you through the isolated trail and prevailed by the dense rhododendron forest. It is equally challenging enough with steep ascending and descending that requires the attentive walk.

The excursion to Mardi Himal base camp begins with a short drive to Kande and goes all the way through the less populated region. It is a perfect trek to enjoy the trek with superb natural attractions where you need to charge your camera at full level to take abundant photographs. In short duration you can reach to the base of Mardi Himal, a place which is tranquil and breathtaking. The chance to explore the eye-catching views of Mardi Himal, Fishtail, Annapurna Himchuli and other peaks increase your attachment with the snowy peaks.   • Day 02: Drive to Pokhara, 820m, 7hrs drive
  • Day 03: Drive to Kande1 hr, trek to Forest Camp 2,540m 7-8 hrs.
  • Day 04: Trek to Low Camp 3,035m, 4 hrs
  • Day 05: Trek to High Camp 3,590m, 4 hrs.
  • Day 06: Hike up to Upper View Point 4,200m, back to High Camp 4.5 hrs.
  • Day 07: Trek to Siding Village1280m,5 to 6 hrs.
  • Day 08: Siding Village to Pokhara
  • Day 09: Drive to Kathmandu
  • Day 10: Departure to International Airport.

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,1350m.Welcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Drive to Pokhara, 820m, 7hrs driveAfter breakfast, we drive to Pokhara via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive. Travelers can view several scenes, hill landscape and terraced firm lands. Following the ridge of Trishuli, Marshyangdi and Seti River, we arrive at Pokhara. O/N at Hotel. (A, B)
  • Day 03Drive to Kande1 hr, trek to Forest Camp 2,540m 7-8 hrs.From morning, we start our drive to Kande. It is on the top of a hill near Pokhara offers some views of low land green forest hills. From here we will start our trek approaching 45 mint to Australian Camp next 30 min to Pothana . Trail is enjoyable throughout the villages. Continuing further will take us to Pitam Deurali, our lunch stop after continue further to Forest camp. The trail is mostly inside the green forests of oak, maple, hemlock and rhododendron. The section includes some ups and downs and takes about 3-4 hours to reach Forest Camp, a small village with few number of guest houses. Forest camp is known as Kokar among local people,O/N at Lodge.   • Day 04Trek to Low Camp 3,035m, 4 hrsToday morning after breakfast we walk to inside the forest but as we reach higher the vegetation changes with more rhododendron trees. This is another pleasant day for us letting us walk in the peaceful route. The trail is steep at the beginning however changes to gradual climbing after awhile. We will have some random views of snowy Himalayan peaks. The views of Machhapuchhre peak are superb from Low Camp. This is very small places with only couple of lodges opened for providing basic meals and accommodation to trekkers, O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 05Trek to High Camp 3,590m, 4 hrs.As we climb higher the route also becomes open and spacious as there is no forest anymore. The trail continues through grasslands of high region with occasional rhododendron trees. Spotting the beautiful bird called Himalayan Monal also known as the impeyan monal, impeyan pheasant and danphe in Nepali is easy around here. This is a colorful Himalayan bird represented as the national bird of Nepal. Finally, we will arrive to High Camp. . There are windows in the woods that look out onto the thrilling panorama - close up dramatic scenery of sacred Mt. Machhapuchhare, Mardi Himal and Annapurna chains. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 06Hike up to Upper View Point 4,200m, back to High Camp 4.5 hrs.We wake up early in the morning before comes sun rises because we are going watch sunrise over the Himalayas after we return back to lodge for our breakfast. We have time to rest before we start hiking up to the upper view point for magnificent views of close Himalayan peaks. The trail heading to Upper View Point is well marked through the grassland involves few steep sections. In overall this is moderate walk, not too challenging as well. In summer season this area is full of yaks and sheep along with several yak herders’ huts. There are some narrow and steep trails. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 07Trek to Siding Village1280m,5 to 6 hrs.After breakfast, today journey start an unhurried descent through the shade of the forest and out on to the terraced fields, down 1600m. This is a different route down to the upper Mardi Khola. Here, as we make our way along the banks of the Mardi Khola from the hill-side village of Siding, down through the lovely fields, passing the simple farms and over the interesting suspension bridges. There is no doubt that this is indeed the idyllic Nepal Countryside. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 08Siding Village to PokharaAfter a short walk now the trail skirts an outcrop- there's the road and transport. We will be back to Pokhara by the lunch. You're free here to feel the moderate climate and sceneries of this Magic land .O/N at Hotel (B, A).
  • Day 09Drive to Kathmandu After breakfast, we drive by tourist bus to Kathmandu via Mugling. We follow the main road of Kathmandu Pokhara highway. It is pretty long but fantastic drive.
