Situated at an altitude of 4130m, Annapurna Base Camp - short trek is one of the most admired touristic destinations of Nepal. This 11 days trek to Annapurna Base Camp initiates from Pokhara and drive to Kimche and trek towards Ghandruk; a culturally rich village of the Gurung community. From Ghandruk we will reach out to Kimrong Danda and spent the night there. We will then trek towards Deurali via Sinuwa and follow our trek to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m). The entire trekking trial offers the uplifted vistas of delightful Himalayas, ancient village and dense green forest. Then our trek continues backward to Nayapul via Bamboo and then to Siwai and ends at drive back to Pokhara city. The highlights of the trek are the encounter with the Gurung community, exploration of dense forest enriched with exotic flora and fauna, relishing the delightful views of Annapurna massif and alluring landscapes.
Day 1: Arrival to Kathmandu. (1,350m).
As you arrive at Kathmandu, we will pick you up at the airport and drop you at the hotel. In the evening, you can roam around Thamel and Basantapur Durbar Square where you can enjoy Nepali traditional architecture and authentic Nepali cuisines. Overnight in Hotel .
Day 2: Drive to Pokhara.
On the second day, we will leave for Pokhara at 7 am in the morning. The drive to Pokhara takes about 6-7 hours. On the way, you can enjoy the views of Trishuli River, the hills, and the mountains. Alternatively, you can also fly to Pokhara if you want to save time. In doing so, you will be able to visit many beautiful places at Pokhara; Phewa Lake, Peace Stupa, David's Fall, Bat Cave and Begnas Lake to name some. The evening at Pokhara can be made enjoyable by dining with live music or visiting good restaurants with food of your choice.Overnight In Hotel .
Day 3: Drive to Kimche, Via Ghandruk Village trek to Kimrong Danda (2,100m): 3-4 hours’ drive and 3-4 hours trek.
On the third day, we will first drive from Pokhara to Kimche which will take about 3-4 hours. We will drive past Nayapul before reaching Kimche. From Kimche, we will walk through stone steps to reach the beautiful Ghandruk Village. Ghandruk Village is a culturally rich village of the Gurung community, and you can visit monasteries and Gurung museum at Ghandruk. From Ghandruk, we will head towards Kimrong ridge to reach Kimrong Danda, the top of Kimrong hill. After walking a total of 3-4 hours, we will spend our night at Kimrong Danda, which presents us amazing views of Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Fishtail Mountain (Machhapuchhre).Overnight in Guest House.
Day 4: Kimrong Danda to Sinuwa (2,320m).
This day of Annapurna Base Camp trek includes 6-7 hours of uphill and downhill climbs. From Kimrong Danda, the trail awaits a steep descent taking us to Kimrong River. Then, we will have to climb steep uphill to reach Chere Danda. From Chere Danda, an easy walk will lead us to Chhomrong. Chhomrong is a small beautiful village in the Annapurna Sanctuary. From Chhomrong, we will descend down to Chhomrong River. Then, a climb through stony staircase will take us to Sinuwa ending the trek for the day. Overnight in Guest House.
Day 5: Sinuwa to Deurali (3,230m).
From Sinuwa, a downhill trail will take us to Bamboo. We will cross the dark, damp and cold Bamboo Forest. Gradually the forest widens, giving us clearer views of the mountains and the glaciers. On this day of the Annapurna Base camp trek, we will also reach Hinku cave, which is an overhanging rock. From here, we will have a short descent and then a short climb that takes us to Deurali. The view from Deurali is magical; the valley, the river, and the mountains create a perfect amalgam of natural beauty. The days comprises a total of 6-7 hours of walk.Overnight in Guest House.
Day 6: Deurali to Annapurna Base Camp (4,130m) via Machhapuchhre Base Camp (3,700m).
On this day, we will head towards the destination of our trek, the Annapurna Base Camp. We will pass by Machhapuchhre Base Camp on the way, which is another attraction of the trek. From our start point, i.e. Deurali, we will have a steep ascent towards the mountains. Reaching the Machhapuchhre Base Camp can be somewhat challenging. As we reach Annapurna Base Camp, the vegetation is almost zero. From both the base camps, we can enjoy an excellent scenic view of the Annapurna range. Being at the foot of Annapurna range is another happiness in itself. After 5-6 hours of journey, we will spend the night at Annapurna Base Camp.Overnight in Guest House.
Day 7: Annapurna Base Camp to Bamboo (2,335m).
Descents are usually easier compared to ascents. Thus, we will trace our way back to Bamboo reminiscing the paths we had covered earlier. The 7-8 hours journey back from Annapurna Base Camp will be accompanied by the scenic beauty of the mountains.Overnight in Guest House.
Day 8: Bamboo to New Bridge (1,400m).
From Bamboo, we will pave our way towards New Bridge (NayaPul). The day includes 5-6 hours of walk. Though the distance is quite long, we will descent fairly easily. We will cross Jhinu Danda on the way, where we can rest our feet in the natural hot spring for a while.Overnight in Guest House.
Day 9: New Bridge to Siwai then drive to Pokhara: 2-3 hours trek, 3 hours' drive.
The day includes short trek of 2-3 hours from New Bridge to Siwai. From Siwai, we will have a 3 hours' drive to Pokhara. In the evening, you can relax at the banks of Phewa Lake, giving a sweet end to the Annapurna Base Camp trek.Overnight In Hotel .
Day 10: Drive to Kathmandu.
On this day, we will drive back to Kathmandu from Pokhara via bus. The buses leave at 7 am in the morning. We will have a farewell dinner to celebrate our successful trek and to cherish our lovely meet.Overnight In Hotel .
Day 11: Final Departure.
On the final day of your stay in Nepal, we will drop you to the Airport for your safe flight back home.
