About Trip

Three passes include Everest base camp trek offer the thrilling adventurous experience dealing with the technical three passes of the Everest region along with an opportunity to take a side trip to Everest base camp. The trail of this trek is rugged and challenging, but the sceneries of the Khumbu panoramas, it offers are breathtaking. This grand excursion begins from Lukla that goes through the Sherpa villages to Namche Bazaar and visit the surroundings. Taking the clockwise route, you walk enjoying the views of the Bhote Koshi River valleys and charming landscape. The Renjo La Pass (5360m) offers the superb views of Mt. Everest (8848m) and its surroundings. This is further supported by the Gokyo Ri hiking. Crossing the Cho La pass ( is more technical, but the superb Himalayan setting makes you feel delighting that is followed by the side trek to Everest base camp, which is the epic destination. Crossing the Khongma La Pass (5535m) the mountain views add with Makalu and Ama Dabam. This trek makes a circuit of the Khumbu region and descends gradually to Lukla.   • Day 02: Fly to Lukla (2800m) 30 mins and trek to Phakding (2652m) 3 hrs walk.
  • Day 03: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m). 5 - 6 hrs walk.
  • Day 04: Rest Day at Namche Bazaar .4-5hrs walk
  • Day 05: Trek to Thame 3800m, 4 - 5 hrs
  • Day 06: Trek to Marulung 4210m, 5 - 6 hrs
  • Day 07: Trek to Lungden 4380m, 2 - 3 hrs

  • Day 14: Hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m) and descend to Lobuche 4940 m 4 - 5hrs
  • Day 15: Climb up the Kongma La (5535m) and descend to Chhukung (4730m): 5- 6 hrs
  • Day 16: Trek to Tengboche 3860m, 5 - 6 hrs
  • Day 17: Trek to Namche Bazzar: 4 - 5 hrs
  • Day 18: Trek down to Lukla (2800m). 6 - 8 hrs walk
  • Day 19: Fly back to Kathmandu.
  • Day 20: Departure to International Airport

Detail Itinerary

  • Day 01Arrival at Kathmandu,(1350m).Welcome to Kathmandu. Our airport representative greets you at the international airport on your arrival. After you will be transferred at the hotel then check-in at the hotel, refresh and rest yourself. Your Trekking Guide will briefly explain your trip program in the evening. O/N at Hotel. (A)
  • Day 02Fly to Lukla (2800m) 30 mins and trek to Phakding (2652m) 3 hrs walk.In the morning, we drive to the domestic airport and fly to the Himalayan land- Lukla. It is a gateway of most of the trekking in the Everest region. After doing some preparation for the trek, we start to walk up to Phakding. It is a splendid walk over the Dudhkoshi River. We stay overnight here on our first day of Himalayan trekking. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 03Trek to Namche Bazaar (3440m). 5 - 6 hrs walk.After breakfast, we start our trek through the pine forest, reach the Dudh Koshi River, cross the suspension bridge and ascend steep trail. From the way, we have the views of Thamserku (6618m) for the first time in the trip. Then we move forward and enter into the Sagarmatha National Park at Jorsalle. Continually we reach the Namche Bazaar, a beautiful Himalayan place and a market area of the people in the Khumbu region. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 04Rest Day at Namche Bazaar .4-5hrs walkWe will spend today Namche Bazaar in order to acclimatize and adjust to the thinning air. A short walk to the museum celebrating the traditional customs of the Sherpa people, as well as about flora & Fauna & its land, more importantly, from here you will get the proper glimpse of Everest and the surrounding mountains. After we hike up the Everest view hotel which is the best viewpoint of Mt. Everest, the highest mountain in the world, Kongde, Thmserku and Khumbila Peak. After spending some times on taking photographs, we back to Namche Bazaar O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 05Trek to Thame 3800m, 4 - 5 hrsAfter breakfast, we gradually climb up crossing the monastery. We can see the beautiful views of Kongde RI, Khumbi La and Kusum Kang. Then the trip descends through the lush forest. Then we cross the villages like Phorte and Samde. After we cross the bridge over the Bhote Koshi River, the trek continually leads us to the Thame.   • Day 06Trek to Marulung 4210m, 5 - 6 hrsMarulung is a beautiful Himalayan settlement and a good viewpoint. After breakfast, we head gradually to the mountain up hills. Now the landscape is going to be more barren and rugged. The trail is now more secluded from dense population. We cross some villages as Tangmote, Yellajung. After about an hour walk, we reach the Marlung Village. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 07Trek to Lungden 4380m, 2 - 3 hrsToday, we are not in hurry. As the altitude increases we have to acclimatize. After breakfast, we walk and cross a small hill, descend down and cross a stream and walk for about 2 hours to reach Lungden. Then after lunch, we hike little up and come back so that we can be familiar with the difficulty and also helpful for acclimatization. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 08Trek Renjo La Pass (5360m) - Gokyo 4800 m, 8 - 9 hrsToday, we are crossing the first Everest high pass-the Renjo- La, which is a thrilling trip. It is more exciting too. The views of Lhotse, Taboche and Cholatse are amazing. It also offers the views of Gokyo RI and the five Lakes. Of course the Ngozumpa Glacier is lying strikingly. It is also the longest Glacier in Nepal. Then we climb down to the Gokyo Valley. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 09Hike up to Gokyo Ri (5483m) and back to Gokyo and rest. 6-7hrs walkIt is our important point of trekking day for acclimatization,early morning we get set for a hiking trip to explore the higher Himalayas of the Everest range, stunning views of the six Lakes. It offers the breathtaking sunrise view over the snow peaked mountains. The outstanding views of Cho-Oyu, Gyachung Kang, Everest, Lhotse, Nuptse, and Makulu become really closer and crystal clear. The trip is very much fruitful for the acclimatization at this high altitude. The biggest glacier of Nepal- the Ngazumpa glacier lies on its northern part. Then we back to the Gokyo village.   • Day 10Trek to Thaknak (4750 m), 5 - 6 hrsAfter breakfast, we climb up to the Thaknak through the ridge of Gokyo. We continue to climb through the Ngozumpa Glacier, cross the edge of the Peak and trek down to the Thaknak. It offers the beautiful views of Cho Oyu and Gokyo RI. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 11Cross the Cho-La Pass and down to Dzongla (4830m): 7 - 8 hrsToday's trek we need walk start early morning, we have a tough climb of the whole trip. It may need climbing equipments. The steep climb includes the route of Glacier on the eastern side. We head continue on the rocky trail from Phedi. It is the most challenging climb of the trip. The views from the top of Cho-La are Mt. Cholatse, Ama Dablam, Lobuche peak and others. They are breathtaking and wonderful taking in good precaution, by the use of crampons. We move down towards and arrive at Dzongla .From Dzongla, the view of the north face of Cholatse is awesome again O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 12Trek to Lobuche (4940m): 4 - 5 hrsToday, we trek to the Lobuche from Dzongla. After breakfast, we descend to the River and cross the bridge over it. Then we head on the grassy trail, enjoying the snow capped Himalayan views. Gradually, the trip leads us to the Lobuche Village. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 13Trek to Gorak Shep (5170m) - Everest Base Camp (5364m) and Back Gorak Shep. 7 - 8 hrs walk.Today is an easy walk on the level trail for first hour. Then we climb up so followed by next of easy hike to catch the glacial moraines of Mt. Pumori all the way to Gorakshep. After a lunch at Gorakshep, we walk to the Everest Base Camp. The Everest expedition groups prevail there waiting for the good day for a successful summit. The views of Mt. Nuptse, Khumbutse and Pumori are really wonderful from the base camp. Then we gradually descend back at Gorakshep. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A).
  • Day 14Hike up to Kala Patthar (5545m) and descend to Lobuche 4940 m 4 - 5hrsToday, we wake up early in the morning and hike up to Kalapatthar to have a magnificent sunrise view. It is a tough climb with chill weather. As we climb up, the higher peaks like Mt. Everest, Khumbutse, Nuptse and others come closer and wonderful. We can have several photographs of the panoramas and climb gradually because walking fast is risky in such high altitude. After spending some times at Kalapatthar, we climb down to Gorakshep. After breakfast, we again continue our descend all the way to Lobuche. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 15Climb up the Kongma La (5535m) and descend to Chhukung (4730m): 5- 6 hrsPassing through the Khumbu Glacier, we continue our trek to the Kongma La today. We visit the Italian center in the high altitude. When we climb to the Kongma La pass the views of Nuptse, Ama Dablam, Makalu and other Peaks of the Everest region. Then we descend to the Niyang Valley with beautiful views of Amphu Lapcha and reach Chhukung. We enjoy the views of the wide basin dotted with frozen lakes. Again we enjoy the marvellous views of Cholatse, Pokalde, Nuptse, Lhotse, Makalu and Ama Dablam. Then we turn and walk through the stony trail. While descending down the Niyang Khola valley, we enjoy the great views of Amphu Lapcha Pass and Island Peak. Trekking further we get to Chukkung. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 16Trek to Tengboche 3860m, 5 - 6 hrsToday is an easy day which is downhill through the valley. The trail continues leads down to the Dingboche then after the walking valley gets change through few Sherpa villages. After Pangboche village the trail drops down to the river and cross the bridge. After that the trail leads up to the Tengboche where the oldest Monastery situated on the top of the hill. Evening visit Monastery, see the Buddhist chanting ceremony. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 17Trek to Namche Bazzar: 4 - 5 hrsToday your day starts walking steep downhill through the Rhododendron forest. Once you get at the bottom of the hill, cross the bridge and steep climbing through the pine and Juniper forest to the Khumjung. After explore the village at Khumjung,Lunch and continue walk to the Namche Bazzar , O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 18Trek down to Lukla (2800m). 6 - 8 hrs walkToday, we again have a long walk to Lukla. From Namche Bazaar, we trek down the rock and steep trail. Gradually, we cross a suspension bridge over the Dudh Koshi River. We are descended from the high altitude to the lower parts of the Khumbu region. It is the same trail through the rhododendron and pine forest along with open plain lands. Crossing the Sherpa settlements, we continually trek to Lukla. O/N at Lodge. (B, L, D, A)
  • Day 19Fly back to Kathmandu.In the early morning, we take a flight to Kathmandu from Lukla. Then transfer to the hotel from airport. We have a whole day for rest and shopping at the local market. There are several restaurants around the Kathmandu for our sweet dinner. O/N at the Hotel. (B, D A)
  • Day 20Departure to International AirportToday, it’s your final day of the trip in Nepal. On your airport time, our company representative bid farewell and wish for safe journey. (B)


How much should I tip my guide and porter?

Tips are appreciated by your support team after the trip. The amount depends on your budget and appreciation of their work. Some trekkers give 10% of the total tour cost as tips. This is absolutely your choice, make the best of it. Only you can decide this.
