Trekkers’ Information Management Systems (TIMS) is the primary requirement for the trekkers before beginning the trek. It is a compulsory card to guarantee the safety and security of the trekkers and to encourage the trekking with good management. There is a certain procedure of getting a TIMS card as PP size photograph, Passport copy, and fees. It helps to record factual data. It is provided by Nepal Tourism Board (NTB), Trekking Agencies’ Association Nepal (TAAN) and also from the government authorized trekking companies.

Trekking Permit

Trekking permit is needed to trek in the restricted areas. It is provided by the Department of Immigration. It is also known as special trekking permit.

Note: 78% of all trekking goes through Annapurna, Everest, Langtang regions.

National Park Fees

Entry Permit to Trek in Conservation Area

Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Annapurna Conservation Area (ACA):

For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2265.

Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Manaslu Conservation Area (MCA):

For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2,000.

Entry Fee (Per Person) to visit Gaurishankar Conservation Area (GCA):

For SAARC Nationals: Nepali Rupees 200.
For other Nationals (other than SAARC countries): Nepali Rupees 2,000.

Note:

1.   Entrance fee not required for children less than 10 years of age.

2.   Trekkers visiting both the Conservation Areas will require obtaining individual Entry Permits for both ACA and MCA.

3.   Two passport size photographs are required while applying for each Entry Permit.

Terms and Conditions:

1.   This Entry Permit is valid for single entry only and is nonrefundable, non-transferable. The permit holder can enter the designated places within the Conservation Area.

2.   The person entering the Conservation Area shall abide by the National Park and Wildlife Conservation Act, 2029 B.S. (1973) and the Regulations made under this Act.

3.   This Entry Permit must be carried during the entire trip and should be shown if the concerned personnel of the Conservation Area wants to check it.

Restricted areas which have been opened for Group trekking.

The following restricted areas are open only for group trekkers. And a trekking permit will not be issued to individual trekkers for such areas. The areas and required fees are as follows:
